Federal Information and Broadcasting Minister Pervaiz Rashid said Saturday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers were also involved in the vandalism of Pakistan Television (PTV) Headquarters and Parliament House.

Reacting to PTI Secretary General Jahangir Tareen’s press conference, Rashid said that the government would continue to crackdown on every law breaker as per the law of land.

“Under what law are Tareen’s supporters taking the law into their own hands,” he questioned, adding that the law would take its own course if someone tries to take it into his hands.

Rashid said that Tareen should remember that his party men were involved in the assaults on Parliament House, PM House and PTV Headquarters, adding that those who announced not to break even a flower pot were involved in breaking the wall of Parliament House.

Earlier, PTI secretary general had said in a press conference that the government is violating the people’s democratic right to protest and had questioned the judiciary if it is lawful for the police to arrest peaceful protesters from their houses and roads.
