Islamabad D&SJ to hear petition seeking registration of case on killings of two PAT workers

The petition seeking registration of case in respect of killings of two workers of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) will come up for hearing in the court of Islamabad district and sessions judge (D&SJ) today.

Raja Zahoorul Hassan counsel for PAT had filed petition under 22-A taking the plea that protesters were staging peaceful protest. The police resorted to shelling and firing against them under the orders of prime minister and interior minister leaving two workers dead and hundreds injured.

“We had filed application in secretariat police station for registration of case but police did not register it,” he pleaded.

Islamabad district and sessions judge expressed displeasure over non filing of reply by police and put off the hearing of the case till today.
