ISLAMABAD-
Pakistan on Thursday clarified that the visit of Chinese president Xi Jinping to the country has not be cancelled but only delayed due to the ongoing political unrest in the federal capital.
During a weekly press briefing, Pakistan Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said that on the Chinese premier’s visit, several agreements between the neighbouring countries would signed.
Reply to Modi
The spokesperson added the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has stressed upon a need to discuss the water-related issues with India in a reply to the letter by his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi and has also offered assistance in Indian-held Kashmir for relief and rehabilitation of flood affectees.
” ‘Daesh’ a terrorist group”
Speaking about militant outfite ‘Daesh’, the FO stated that Pakistan considers the group a terrorist organisation and intends to deal with just like it has dealt with other terrorist outfits.
