The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has identified its around 50 employees who have been inducted on the basis of fake degrees.
Such employees, a spokesman of the Authority said, would be dealt with accordingly.
The CAA, the spokesman said, was inducting people purely on merit through the help of National Testing Service (NTS). The fake-degree holders, he said, were identified during the process of verifying the degrees of its employees from PG-1 to PG-11.
According to the CAA spokesperson, the CAA has made it clear that they won’t tolerate any discrepancies in the induction system. Employees who were hired on the basis of fake degrees were being examined upon and would be punished as per rules.
All CAA employees’ degrees of PG-1 to PG-11are being examined and if anyone’s degree is found fake, he would be dealt with accordingly.
The spokesperson said the CAA was trying hard to promote merit system all across the board and as a result all the induction was done through the NTS and promotions were also made on merit.
He said CAA DG Air Marshal (r) Muhammad Yousaf and Chief Human Resource Sumair Saeed were firm in their approach and will do everything possible to ensure that merit was implemented all across the board and that transparency prevails in the system.
