Addressing the ground breaking ceremony of Pakistan Heart and Medical Complex in Islamabad on Wednesday, President Mamnoon Hussain said that the government had planned to review curriculum to make it compatible with national and international requirements.
Hussain said the syllabus will envisage changes aimed at promoting national image and acquainting the young generation with their history.
The president emphasised the need for promoting research in medical sciences especially cardiac diseases. He pointed out that about 100,000 people die every in Pakistan due to cardiac diseases and there is a dire need to promote awareness and healthy activities to curtail the prevalence of the diseases.
