Jamia Binoria teacher among eight killed in Karachi

KARACHI-

Eight people have been killed in Karachi during the last 24 hours.

In Haideri area of the capital, unidentified gunmen opened fire on a car, killing Molana Masood Baig; a teacher at Jamia Binoria.

A man was gunned down near Malir’s Liaquat Market while  a firing incident killed a young man in Orangi Town near Islam Chowk.

In another incident at Irani Camp in Orangi Town, some unidentified motorcyclists shot Ghulam Hyder, 26, and Shabbir Hussain, 50.

The shops and business were closed down in the area immediately.

A body bearing torture marks was recovered from Orangi Town.

Two groups entered an armed fray in Lyari near Gharib Shah shrine, killing a man and his son in the crossfire. The deceased were identified as Muhammed Zubair, 40 and three-year Muhammed Dauoof.

Police officials said the man and his son were killed while they were caught in the exchange of fire between the gangs. A man called Kabul Jan, sustained critical wounds in a firing incident at Shafiq Morr.
