According to recently released Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) report, “Public Opinion on Quality of Governance in Pakistan” 42 percent Pakistanis have shown their trust in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
PILDAT took public opinion about NAB as institution. The nationwide poll was conducted during July 16, 2014 to August 6, 2014. It was commissioned by PILDAT and conducted by Gallup Pakistan. The respondents for the survey included 3065 citizens from rural and urban areas from all provinces of Pakistan. They represented a cross section of young and old, middle and high income.
Anti-corruption was one of the eleven Core Governance Indicators used for public opinion survey to gauge the public opinion on quality of governance in the country. Seven percent people showed a lot trust in NAB, 35 percent somewhat, 33 percent little while only 19 percent people showed no trust in the institution.
According to the report, 30 percent people showed positive ratings about Police, 29 percent people provide positive ratings about Government Officers.
