*Punjab govt working hard to control Dengue
Punjab Government on Sunday said that it has been working hard to combat and stop the growth of dengue mosquito larvae as its first priority.
The efforts against dengue are ongoing until its complete eradication.
Punjab Planning and Development department, launching an extensive drive to avert the spread of dengue mosquitoes, observed the Dengue Cleanliness Day at the Planning and Development Complex.
All the sanitation staff ensured their presence in the Planning and Development Office and participated in the cleanliness drive. During the cleanliness operation to eradicate dengue larvae, a special squad of the department carried out the operation during office hours at the Complex.
The Planning and Development Deputy Secretary Administration Omar Asad inspected the dark areas, store rooms, washrooms, parking stands and open spaces in and around the building. He monitored the entire operation.
He, during his visit, appreciated the excellent arrangements for cleanliness at the complex made by the sanitation staff. On the occasion, Planning and Development deputy secretary directed the officials concerned of the department to take the lead in monitoring cleanliness arrangements in their duty places.
