New Judicial Year opening ceremony of the Supreme Court will be held today with the end of the summer vacations.
According to the scheduled programme, Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Nasirul Mulk, Attorny General of Pakistan Salman Butt, Pakistan Bar Council vice chairman and Supreme Court Bar Association President Kamran Murtaza will speak on the occasion.
Judges of the Supreme Court, law officers of the Federation and provinces and a large number of lawyers will attend the ceremony. This ceremony is held annually on the opening of the New Judicial Year of the Supreme Court.
The objective of the ceremony is to make a determination for meeting the challenges faced by the Supreme Court and exchange views for planning it, improvement of the judiciary image, better service for petitioners and increasing expectations of the civil society.
