Pakistan becomes potential market for quality machines, technology

Despite prevailing situations, the 12th International Exhibition of Plastics and Printing and 11th International Exhibition of Food and Beverage processing and packaging, organised by the Pegasus Consultancy at the Expo Centre, was concluded on Saturday, with a positive note that exhibitors are going home with buying orders.

Punjab Assembly Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal also visited the exhibition and showed keen interest in products and services displayed by the exhibitors.

On the last day of the exhibition, a seminar was held titled “Annual Packaging Forum” with the theme to discuss technologies that are shaping the future of packaging.

International and local speakers from Netherlands, Pakistan, Singapore and UAE presented their papers and highlighted latest dairy, meat and other packaging industry trends and practices in the seminar.

The seminar was a high profile gathering of the food, dairy, beverage and packaging industry. The participants had a long session of interactive discussions and shared innovative ideas to overcome challenges; paving the way for mutual growth. The forum had served the purpose and had educated and created the awareness about the need of smart packaging for the developing local packaging industry.

According to the organisers a larger numbers of local and international key visiting buyers of food, plastic and packaging industry from Germany, France, Saudi Arabia, Belgium and also from the various cities of Pakistan including Faisalabad, Karachi, Lahore, Kasur, Gujranwala, Shekhupura and Gujrat, have visited the exhibition and placed orders with the exhibitors.

The exhibition has gathered more than 200 local and international companies from around 23 countries, which includes: Canada, China, Germany, USA, UK, Italy, Spain, Turkey, UAE, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Belgium, Austria, Sweden, Luxemburg, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Switzerland and Netherland, showcasing latest in plastics, printing, packaging and food processing materials and machinery for all manufacturing and processing industries.
