Environment Protection Agency (EPA), under its ongoing anti-dengue drive, Saturday sealed two places and inspected 32 others.
EPA District Officer Mian Mohammad Nawaz said that EPA team inspected 14 tyre shops, 13 junkyards/go-downs, one nursery and four under construction sites. He said strict action is being taken against the violators of the orders of the government to save the public from the spread of dengue mosquitoes.
EPA teams also removed stagnant water from four dengue breeding sites while the team found dengue larva from one site, he informed.
Nawaz further said tyre shops, hotels, restaurants, nurseries, under construction sites and other vulnerable points are regularly being checked and special inspection is conducted to check dengue mosquito larva. As many as 30 sites were declared clear of dengue larva. The EPA would continue to conduct such raids until the dengue mosquito was eliminated, he added.
