Anonymous admirer sends 200 bouquets to PAT, PTI protesters

An anonymous person has sent 200 bouquets to activists who have been protesting outside Pakistan’s Parliament House despite heavy rainfall.

Members of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) began their protests on August 15 in an attempt to topple the government of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif whom they accuse of rigging the 2013 general elections.

Since then, the protesters have continued with their sit-ins in Islamabad despite the adverse weather conditions.

The bouquets have been placed in front of the Parliament House, lining the road.

The words ‘Inqilab’ march have also been written with flowers on the nearby greenbelt.

PAT Media Coordinator Ghulam Ali told reporters that the flowers have been sent to show solidarity with the people who sacrificed their lives and faced injuries during the ongoing protests and clashes with security agencies’ personnel.

“The flowers have increased the determination of the participants,” Ali said.
