ISLAMABAD-
Former President and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Asif Ali Zardari on Friday demanded an apology from Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar over his allegations on PPP Senator Aitzaz Ahsan, a private news channel reported.
Zardari, in his statement, condemned Khan’s remarks on Ahsan and demanded of him to apologise to Ahsan who is the opposition leader in the Senate.
The former president praised the senator for his services to PPP and urged the federal leadership to avoid allegations on PPP during a time of political instability.
He also urged the government and protesting parties to resolve the political deadlock through talks.
Khan, on Wednesday, had leveled allegations against Ahsan and termed him ‘land mafia.’
