Finance Minister Ishaq Dar Wednesday asserted that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi had tried to create confusion about the ongoing negotiations between PTI and the government.

Speaking on a point of personal explanation regarding the speech of the PTI leader, Dar said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is persistently updating parliamentary leaders about the development of talks with PTI.

“The PM has also written a letter to the Supreme Court chief justice to constitute a judicial commission to probe the allegations of rigging in 2013 general elections. Hence, two out of six points put forward by PTI for negotiations with the government have already been incorporated in the commission,” Dar said.

He told the session that a 33-member Parliamentary Committee for Electoral Reforms has already started working for introducing electoral reforms.

He alleged that PTI was involved in attacking the parliament and that the PTI chief had congratulated Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Tahirul Qadri for attacking the Parliament House and Pak Secretariat.

“PTI has already been told politely that the point of the PM’s resignation is non-negotiable,” Dar said, adding that the PM is backed by the entire parliament.

Dar said that the seven-point working paper prepared by former law minister Abdul Hafeez Pirzada is the script of a “new Pakistan” written by the same old people.
