As many as four people including a cop lost their lives and four others injured in different incidents of violence on Thursday.
A police constable, Yousuf Khan, 40, son of Khushal Khan, was targeted by unknown armed men near Al-Hassan Bakery, Orangi Town No 4. Resultantly, Yousuf was killed. He was in plain clothes. A card found from his pocket showed he was posted in VVIP Security Zone. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy.
In another incident, Medical Legal Officer (MLO) Abbasi Shaheed Hospital reported that a person namely Usman, 25, son of Aslam Moeen, was brought in injured condition from House No 1/3 Bleeche Paradise, Block-II Gulistan-e-Johar. The injuries were caused due to firing of unknown persons.
Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Idrees, Aziz Bhatti Police Station, reported that the above-named person was injured by a stray bullet at home.
According to the Police Station Jamshed Quarter SHO, accused Arsalan, aged 22, shot injured a girl namely, Sana, 20, daughter of Hameed, at Bungalow No 82 Muslimabad, Kashmir Road. Later, the accused committed suicide. Both were Sindhi by caste and working as servants in the said bungalow. Motive of the incident is personal enmity. The dead body and the injured girl were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi.
In another firing incident, unknown person, 27, was killed by unknown assailants near Musharaf 500 Quarter. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for autopsy.
In yet another incident, the Boat Basin PS SHO informed that police found the dead body of a girl namely Sidra, 16, daughter of Ishtiaq, resident of Hindu Para, Teen Talwar Block-1. She was killed by unknown accused when she was going for tuition from her house. The body was shifted to Jinnah Hospital Karachi for medico-formalities.
In another firing incident, Aijaz Dahri, 30, son of Mohammad Yousuf Dahri, was shot injured by unknown assailants near New Building Malir Halt. He was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for treatment.
Ayoob, 45, son of Anwar, was in shot injured by unknown persons near Landhi Number 4, Charagh Hotel. He was shifted to JPMC for treatment.
