The Punjab government has issued directives to get vacated all the barracks of all jails near Islamabad along with Central Jail of Rawalpindi.
Sources said that arrested workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) will be shifted to these barracks.
The government has issued directives to department of jails to empty barracks and shift the arrested workers during clash with police to Central Jail Rawalpindi, District Jail Attock and other jails along with Jehlum.
There are already three times more prisoners then the capacity of these jails and if the arrested workers of PTI and PAT would be shifted to these jails then living conditions will become worse for prisoners.
