Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and federal minister Ahsan Iqbal on Wednesday said the government could not interfere with court matters as issue of four constituencies was pending in the election tribunal.

Addressing a press conference, Iqbal said: “Let Supreme Court decide whether Election Commission was conspiring against Khan.” He added that the government had called for formation of a Supreme Court commission to probe rigging allegations.

He said that printing of ballot papers and distribution was the responsibility of the Pakistan Army.

Iqbal said that a PTI committee had described violation of merits in distribution of party tickets as a cause of defeat in the election. He urged Khan to read writing on the wall and end his sit-in.
