Islamabad crackdown: Three deaths confirmed

ISLAMABAD-

Spokesperson of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) confirmed three deaths from the clashes between police and protestors from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Pakistan Awami Tehreek in Islamabad, a  private news channel reported.

According to report, a man died from being stabbed in the stomach by a sharp object . He underwent through a surgery and was under monitoring. He succumbed to his injuries early on Sunday.

A man was also reported to have died of a heart attack.

Earlier, a man named  Naveed Razaq was brought dead to the hospital. He had drowned by falling into a water filled ditch.

Another man, identified as Rafiullah, is in a critical condition for having sustained head injuries.

Atleast 390 people have been injured in the clashes.

The injured include dozens of women and a handful of children. They are under treatment at PIMS and Poly Clinic.

At least 79 policemen and five media personnel were also among the wounded.
