*Minister says there is no problem with any institution playing positive role in the current impasse

Nobody should have a problem with any institution if it wants to play its positive role in ending the current political turmoil in the country, said Punjab Law Minister Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan while talking at the Hockey Stadium on Friday.

Mashhood said that people are fed up of this drama staged in Islamabad and want it to end now.

Criticising the protesters, he said that if a government institution can play its role in ending the sit-in, nobody should object. He said that entire nation wanted an end to these sit-ins.

He said that both the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) were experts in taking U-turns.

“Leaders of both the parties are calling the ‘third force’ but the time has arrived now for the deadlock to end,” said the minister.

Commenting on the FIR published yesterday, the provincial law minister said that a FIR had been registered on the request of the PAT. He said that all the sections added in the FIR were according to the law and law always takes its course.
