Banks’ security tightened in Rawalpindi

Directives have been issued for tightening the security of government and private banks at district Rawalpindi in the wake of sit-ins being staged in federal capital by Pakistan Tehreek-e- Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT).

Sources said Rawalpindi Police have directed divisional police officers, SDPOs and SHOs to prepare and furnish comprehensive report on  the number of security guards deployed in banks, name of their respective security  companies, information whether close circuit cameras are installed in these banks or not and  they are in working condition or not.

The field police officers have been directed to ensure the fool proof security of these banks all over the district Rawalpindi.

The police have started reviewing the situation prevailing in banks in terms of security arrangements and working out report.
