Th first investigation report (FIR) of Model Town Incident was filed on Thursday, nominating Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and 21 other officials for murder, attempted murder and terrorism, a private news channel reported.
The FIR was filed following the directives of the Punjab government to comply with the orders issued by Lahore High Court regarding the case registration.
On Tuesday, the LHC upheld decision of session court to nominate the PM, CM Punjab and 19 others in the case regaring killing of 14 Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) workers in clashes with police on June 17.
Prior to the registration of FIR, Inspector General of Punjab Police (IGP) Mushtaq Sukhera confirmed the orders, adding that sections will be applied as per law in the case.
