ISLAMABAD-

Member National Assembly Jamshed Dasti, who had publicly announced to resign from the lower house in solidarity with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has now decided not to resign, a private news channel reported.

Dasti,an independent MNA, said that he has taken back his decision as his mother disapproved of it.

‘She was unhappy over my decision and I,too, realised it was not right’, he told media representatives.

“People have elected me, I represent them and I cannot leave them on mercy of looters and thieves,” he said.

A few days earlier, Dasti resigned from the NA seat along with PTI MNAs and exhibited his resignation letter to media and thousands of PTI supporters at the Islamabad sit-in.
