A petition was filed in the Lahore High Court (LHC) seeking invalidation of General Elections of 2013.

Lawyer Shabbir Bukhari filed a petition in the LHC, requesting the court to direct the Election Commission of Pakistan to declare Elections 2013 void. He contended that former ECP additional secretary Afzal Khan had revealed massive rigging in the elections. Khan disclosed the rigging practice during an ARY News program on Sunday

The petitioner pleaded that an interim government be set up and elections should be re-conducted. The ECP must hold elections in a free and fair manner that may be accepted by all the citizens, he said in the petition.
