Punjab Minister for Labour and Manpower Raja Ashfaq Sarwar has said that those hatching conspiracy against the Constitution and the democracy will not be allowed to succeed.

In a statement issued Tuesday, the minister said the demand of resignation of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif was unconstitutional and they will not resign at any cost.

The patriotic forces were united for the protection of the Parliament and the Constitution, he said adding the sit-ins of Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri have caused huge loss to the national economy.

Sarwar said that Imran Khan and Qadri have indulged in the “politics of blackmailing by using women and children as shields”. He said all political parties of the country have made it clear that no one will be allowed to derail democratic system.

The government will accept only constitutional demands of Khan and Qadri. He further said that people have given mandate to Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
