Four militants killed in clash with security forces in Jamrud

At least four militants were killed in  a clash with the security forces in Jamrud Tehsil of Khyber tribal region, a private news channel reported on Tuesday.

According to the report, the overnight clash took place in Malik Shiga village.

After the clash, curfew was imposed in the area while the security forces launched a search operation in the area to trace other militants.

Local administration reported that killed terrorists belong to Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

The clash came at a time when security forces are fighting against the local and foreign militants in North Waziristan Agency. Pakistan launched a military offensive (Zarb-e-Azb) in mid-June to seize control of the Taliban stronghold of North Waziristan, a remote mountainous region on the border with Afghanistan.

In another incident, a body was recovered in Sur Kamar area of Jamrud.

The victim identified as Younas Khan was killed in gun attack.
