7 die of violence

As many as seven persons lost their lives while two injured in different firing and other incidents on Tuesday.

Taj Mohammad, 25, Abdullah, was killed in a police encounter at Nawa Lane Street No 7 Kalakot. According to the PS Kalakot Station House Officer, the encounter took place between police and criminals of Lyari Gang War. Resultantly, a criminal of Lyari Gang War Jhengo group namely, Taj Mohammad, son of Abdullah, aged 25 years, was killed. Police recovered 1 TT pistol with 10 rounds from his possession. He was wanted in several crimes. The dead body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for an autopsy.

In another incident, one Natha Lal, 45, son of Jio Raj, was shot dead by unknown persons. According to the PS Jamshed Quarters the Station House Officer, unknown armed accused killed a person namely Natha Lal, son of Jio Raj, 45, at Business Recorder Road near CNG station. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for an autopsy. Motive behind the killing could not be ascertained.

In yet another incident, a criminal of Lyari Gang War named Shoaib was killed in a police encounter in Lyari Chakiwara.

According to police sources, the accused was involved in cases of target killing, extortion and kidnapping for ransom. Weapons were recovered from his possession. The body was shifted to CHK for an autopsy.

In a firing incident, two unknown persons aged about 25 to 30 were killed near Qasba Morr, Shehzad Cinema. The bodies were shifted to ASH for medico-legal formalities.

In another incident on Abul Hasan Asfahani Road, a youth Gul Badin, 25, son of Ishaq, was gunned down in resistance to robbery in Gulshan-e-Iqbal. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for formalities.

Constable Dilawar Khan, 40, son of Gulzar, was injured in firing by unknown persons near Juman Shah Mazar, Garden. He was shifted to (JPMC) for medico-treatment.

A 40-year old unknown lady died when a vehicle hit her at NIPA flyover. The body was shifted to ASH for an autopsy. In another road accident, a young man aged 18, was on MA Jinnah Road near Prince Cinema. The body was shifted to CHK for an autopsy.
