Shahbaz insists nation has rejected long marches

Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has said that the nation has rejected ‘Azadi’ and ‘Inqilabi’ marches, adding that the orchestrators of these protests have no interest in resolving the issues of the citizens.

He stated that the indiscreetness of a few entities shall put Pakistan’s fate at stake.

Sharif asserted that politicians who believe in rightfulness of their stance do not use abusive language.

“I wish Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan had not made indecent and uncivilised remarks during a speech in Islamabad,” he said.

Talking to media persons in Lahore on Friday, the Chief Minister said that use of harsh words and fiery statements in politics is a routine matter but it is lamentable that a politician has publicly used such foul language for the first time in the history of the country.
