Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said it is time for all political forces to join hands to ensure supremacy of Constitution and Parliament and strengthen democracy in the country. He expressed concern over the conspiracies being hatched by the mastermind of the current political crisis.
In an interview with a private television channel on Saturday, Iqbal said stability of the country is vital for sustainable socio-economic development.
He said it was for the first time in the history of Pakistan that a democratic set up completed its term of five years and the country moved towards stability.
He said that if democracy is derailed as a result of the current political crisis, then no government will be able to complete its term. He said the protests are badly affecting the economy and development projects.
