India warns Pakistan over LoC ceasefire violations

NEW DELHI

INP

Indian Defence Minister Arun Jaitley Thursday said that the Indian Army was prepared to answer the alleged ceasefire violations by Pakistani troops.

The Indian minister alleged that the Pakistan Army continued to violate ceasefire for the fourth consecutive day in RS Pura Sector of Jammu and Kashmir since Monday, instilling fear among the villagers living along the international border.

“Whenever ceasefire is violated from across the border, our army will take appropriate and necessary action,” said Jaitley.

Earlier, security expert Alok Bansal had said that the reason Pakistan was creating tension along the Line of Control (LoC) was to divert the attention of its citizens from the ongoing internal turmoil.

“There is a political turmoil in Pakistan as supporters of Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and cleric Tahirul Qadri have entered the secured Red Zone of Islamabad during early hours of Wednesday demanding PM Nawaz Sharif’s resignation. So, it has become important for the Pakistan government to divert the attention of the people from internal matters,” he told media.
