ISLAMABAD-
Inspector General Police Islamabad Aftab Cheema on Thursday was removed from his post, a private news channel reported.
According to details, the Federal Interior Ministry issued a notification that Additional IG Khalid Khattak has been given the additional charge of IG Islamabad in place of Cheema.
Cheema’s sacking comes as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Pakistan Awami Tehreek supporters stage a sit-in for the sixth day at the most sensitive Red Zone area of Islamabad.
According to PTI senior leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Cheema was removed for refusing to launch a crackdown on sit-in participants.
Cheema is the voice of nation who can't lead by these corrupt politicians.Shame on you Nisar,its your failure.
