Former election commissioner of Pakistan Justice Fakhruddin G Ibrahim was taken to a local hospital on Wednesday after his health seriously deteriorated, media reported. He is under medical observation in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Three days ago former election commissioner of Pakistan underwent a heart surgery. One of his heart valves was replaced in the open heart surgery.
Last night his condition deteriorated and he was therefore, shifted to a private hospital in Karachi. He is under observation currently though the doctors have said that he is out of danger.
Justice Ibrahim, 86, was a former judge of the Supreme Court and a former governor of Sindh. His last active appointment was as Chief Election Commissioner from July 14, 2012 till he resigned in July, 2013.
