4 killed in violence

Terrorists gunned down four people in the city amid escalated police patrolling and snap checking on Saturday.

The assassins attacked a marble shop located within the precincts of Pak Colony Police Station for failing to pay money in extortion and one of the victims fell dead on the spot. The deceased was later identified as Inayat, 55, son of Shakir Ullah. His body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for onward medico-legal procedures.

A body of an unidentified man was found from Surjani Town while a 4-day old body of a woman was recovered from her house No 750 in Block 14 of FB Area.

Unidentified terrorists shot one in Rexor Lines Area of Lyari while Muhammad Farooq, 28, son of Muhammad Siddique, was injured by unidentified militants for resisting against snatching of his personal belongings.

2 die in accidents

Two persons lost their lives while another injured in traffic accidents on Thursday.

Mohammad Akram, 40, son of Shahabuddin, died in vehicle collision near Nazimabad Inquiry Office. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for an autopsy.

In another incident on Nipa Chowrangi, Qaisar Farooqui, 50, son of Sadiq Farooquim died, while Tanvir, 20, son of Qaisar was injured in a traffic incident. Both were resident of North Karachi, and shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.
