Awami Muslim League (AML) Chairman Sheikh Rasheed Monday denied any role in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s call for civil disobedience, adding that it was solely PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s decision.
Rashid, who is at the forefront in PTI’s ‘Azadi’ march and subsequent sit-in told a private news channel, “I have no knowledge of where this decision was taken.”
However, he said that the issue of ‘Azadi’ march will be resolved by next Monday, adding that if PTI members tender their resignations in the assembly, he would follow the suit.
Ruling out any mediation, Rashid said Khan is trying his utmost to control the sentiments of PTI supporters, adding “there are more chances of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif going home”.
