Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday approved the petition to make public the judicial commission’s report on Lahore’s Model Town incident for a hearing, a private news channel reported.
In the hearing headed by Justice Amir Bhatti, petitioner Zubair Bhatti stated that the government first forms a commission to suppress the issues and later does not bring the commission reports to light, keeping the facts of national tragedies hidden and thus culprits behind them remain unidentified.
A written explanation from the Home Secretary and Punjab government has been sought by LHC by August 25.
