Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that what we are today is all due to Pakistan. He said that we will not allow ‘Azadi’ march to be converted into “destruction march”.

The CM said that it is unbelievable that any patriotic Pakistani can say that “traders should not pay tax, people should not pay bills and overseas Pakistanis should stop sending foreign exchange”.

He appealed to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan not to take revenge of failure of PTI’s sit-in from Pakistan.

He said that the whole nation has proved that it will not accept any unconstitutional demand of the protesters. He said that an attempt is being made to play with the future of Pakistan by making a shield of women and children.

Sharif thanked the traders’ community, industrialists and the entire nation for totally rejecting PTI’s call of civil disobedience and said that no patriotic Pakistani has supported this announcement.

He said that people of Pakistan can differentiate between right and wrong. He said that after the demand for a technocrat government, the call for civil disobedience has totally divided PTI.

Talking to Punjab Assembly members on Tuesday the CM said that those who were demanding resignation are now talking about resigning themselves. “What kind of U-turn is this,” he questioned.

He said that PTI chief Khan has set a world record for changing his stances and he is now isolated in politics due to his stubbornness.

The CM said that it is unfortunate that a Pakistani has declared Mahatama Gandhi instead of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah as his leader. He added that Khan has perturbed the souls of the martyrs of Pakistan Movement through his ‘Azadi’ march.

He said that Quaid-e-Azam is not the leader of Pakistan Muslim League alone but of the 180 million Pakistanis.

He said that PML-Nawaz has always given preference to national interests over personal and political ends. He said that masses are the pivot of PML-N’s politics, adding that PML-N is ready to make every sacrifice for the country.
