Civil disobedience against federal govt only; PTI govt in KP to continue collecting taxes

A media report has quoted Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Mushtaq Ghani as saying that the civil disobedience movement announced by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan was against the “corrupt and incompetent” federal government and not the PTI government ruling in the northwestern province.

According to Dawn, KP Information Minister Mushtaq Ghani has said that provincial taxes will be collected as per routine but the public will not be paying any federal taxes along with electricity and gas bills. He warned that the province will not be paying electricity and gas bills along with federal taxes and if utilities are disconnected to the province, power supply from Tarbela Dam to Punjab will be stopped.
