Qadri-Khan duo conspiring against democrary: CM

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Shairf said on Saturday that Khan-Qadri partnership is a conspiracy against the democratic system and it will “never succeed”.

In a statement issued from Lahore, the CM said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s demand of a “technocrat government” is unconstitutional and violates court decisions, while saying that Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chairman Dr Tahirul Qadri’s demands are also unconstitutional.

He said that the demand of resignation from elected Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is undemocratic and unconstitutional. Talking to a delegation of PML-N members, Sharif said that so-called revolutionaries are creating a bad name for the country. People know well that who is creating chaos in the country and who is serving selflessly, he added.

The CM said that at present, Pak Army is fighting a war against terrorists and a conspiracy of dividing the nation has been hatched by launching long march. He said that unity is much needed today than ever before. Sharif said that economic activities are being affected in the country due to the long marches.

Sharif alleged that certain elements wanted to snatch people’s happiness by creating chaos and feud on the occasion of Independence Day “but they failed miserably”.

He said that people have rejected those indulging in the politics of protest by showing indifference over the two long marches. He said people have proved by burying the protest, negative and confrontational politics that they will not allow anyone to create hindrance in the development process of the country. Sharif said that people have given mandate to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz. He said that the secret of future of Pakistan lies in the democracy and democratic system.

He said the solution of problems in politics is found through dialogue and mutual understanding.

He said that negative attitudes in politics can prove detrimental for the democratic system and stability of the country.

  1. The right to protest is a fundamental right of any citizen of any country. The Sharif brothers, who do not understand Democracy at all say that protesting against rigging is a conspiracy against Democracy.
What a innovative way to handle Democracy. Rig and win election and then start talking about solving the problem through
dialogue. This is the level of understanding the Sharifs have when it comes to Democracy.

  2. Azam Khan told a fundamental right in a democratic state but truth is that no any political part is ever strong as N-Nawaz Sherif . Did every one knows next five years is also Nawaz Govt. due to their control able power of building this country towards prosperity and healthy wealthy nation.
