PTI chief Imran Khan has rescheduled his announcement for “decisive match” against the Nawaz Sharif government to 6pm, as various political parties have geared up efforts to defuse the situation before the situation gets out of control in the federal capital.

According to reports, the PTI leadership held a consultative meeting at Khan’s Bani Gala residence where it was decided that the chairman would now make the announcement of his future strategy at 6pm instead of the earlier announced 3pm.

PTI leader Dr Arif Alvi told reporters that Khan would present a charter of demands and the timeline for its acceptance in his address.

Addressing supporters at 3am on Sunday, Khan said that he was expecting a crowd so big that people would forget Tahrir Square. He also hinted that his party was ready to enter the Red Zone.

He also promised his workers that he would not leave the sit-in venue and even sleep atop a container. However, he sped away to his Bani Gala residence to catch up on his sleep soon after dawn.

On the other hand, the PML-N leadership met in Raiwind with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the chair. The party has decided to resolve the matter with negotiations rather than use of force, but vowed not to allow any unconstitutional action take place in Islamabad.

Interior Minister Nisar Ali Khan has meanwhile ordered the deployment of an additional 10,000 police personnel to beef up security in the Red Zone following Imran Khan’s threat to storm Parliament House and PM’s House.

In a related development, JI chief Sirajul Haq met PPP leader Syed Khurshid Shah in Karachi and both leaders agreed not to let the democratic process derail in the confrontation between the govt and protesting parties.

They said they would continue to play a positive role in defusing the situation but at the same time they would not allow any person to violate the constitution.

MQM chief Altaf Hussain has also urged PAT and PTI leaderships not to violate the Red Zone in Islamabad and hold their protests within the constitutional parametres.

People like you is why Pakistan is such a backwards country. Always blaming Zionism and USA for the multiple failures of your own country and leaders. Pakistan has the chance to change its future for the better, but instead its citizens are more worried what Israel and the USA are doing then what their own leaders are doing. More worried about Arabs in Gaza being killed then the thousands being killed in their own country.
    Save Gaza? Nope. Save Pakistan!
