Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, despite making promises that he would “eat and sleep” with PTI workers staging a sit-in in Islamabad after a 37-hour long ‘Azadi’ march, went to his Bani Gala residence after an address in the Capital early on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the PTI workers had to face torrential rain under open sky in the federal capital.
Per reports, the workers, who braced all odds during the almost 37-hour-long journey to reach Islamabad on Khan’s call, were shocked as they had never thought that their leader would desert them at the very outset of the ‘Azadi’ march.
Commenting on the development, Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) leader Mushahidullah Khan and former Punjab law minister Rana Sanaullah criticised the PTI chairman for heading to his Bani Gala residence while the PTI supporters spent the night on the roads in utter frustration.
