More rain expected in 24 hours

According to Met Office, the twin-cities will receive more rain in the next 24 hours.

Different parts of the country which received showers (in millimetres) during the last 24 hours were Balakot 65, Puttan 32, Chirat 23, Gilgit 20, Kohat 15, Murree 14, Abbottabad 10, Dir 9, Islamabad 7, Sedu Sharif 5, Bonji, Kalam 3, Sialkot 2 and Hunza 2.Rain with thundershower is expected in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Lahore, Peshawar, Malakand, Hazara, Kohat, Bannu divisions and Kashmir.

Following temperatures of some major cities were recorded on Saturday morning: Islamabad and Gilgit 20 degrees centigrade, Lahore 25, Karachi 28, Peshawar 24, Quetta and Muzaffarabad 22 and Murree 18 degrees centigrade.

According to synoptic situation, seasonal low lies over North Balochistan and adjoining areas with its trough extending northeastwards. Moderate monsoon currents are penetrating upper parts of the country. A fresh western disturbance is also affecting upper parts.
