LAHORE-

Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri on Tuesday assured that his supporters would not resort to violence during August 14’s ‘Revolution March’, a private news channel reported.

Speaking to media representatives outside his residence in Lahore, the PAT chief said that his party workers have always been peaceful and despite the teargas shelling and police brutality during the Model Town incident, they did not fire a single bullet.

“They have been trained to be peaceful during their struggle. They can’t even think of violence and unrest,” he said.

Qadri added that he rejects allegations of violence against his supporters and invited authorities to search the premises of Minhaj-ul-Quran Secretariat.

“If they find any weapon in our custody I will retract the call for Revolution March,” he said.
