Minister for Commerce Khurram Dastgir Khan Tuesday told the Senate during question hour that Pakistan Steel Mills is not included in the present list of entities which are being privatised.
He said the government was providing billions of rupees to the institutions running in deficit.
To a question, the minister said that recruitment in the National Bank will be made according to quota and rules when the ban on recruitment was lifted. He said National Bank in Pakistan achieved nine billion rupees less revenue against the previous years. He said the matter was being investigated.
Minister for Science and Technology Zahid Hamid told the House that a draft of Pakistan Halal Authority Act 2014 had been submitted to the Cabinet for approval. He said Pakistan Halal Authority would be established under the act which would promote trade of Halal commodities with other countries.
