Jamshed Dasti arrives on rickshaw at Imran Khan’s residence

Jamshed Dasti, independent member of National Assembly on Tuesday rendered his services to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan as a political worker, a private news channel reported.

Dasti, arriving at Lahore from Muzaffargarh, was speaking to media representatives at the PTI chief’s residence. He said that he has come to Lahore on the invitation of Khan.

He said that his convoy was stopped by the police at Multan Road near Kasur from heading towards Lahore for more than four hours.

He then hired an auto-rickshaw and arrived at the residence of the PTI chief, followed by around 70 of his supporters.

Dasti will be joining the PTI Azadi March to the federal capital on August 14 along with his supporters.

Dasti, former MNA from Pakistan People’s Party, was disqualified from his seat by the Supreme Court for contesting elections while holding a fake degree.

He contested May 2013 general elections as an independent candidate and won from NA-177 Muazaffargarh-II and NA-178 Muazaffargarh-III.
