At least two persons lost their lives and another was injured in different firing incidents in parts of metropolis in last 24 hours.
According to rescue sources, a bullet-riddled body of an unknown person, aged 26, was recovered from Khada Market, Lyari, near Fayaz Peshwari Ice Cream shops and shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi.
In another incident, Irshad Begum lost her life when unknown armed person shot her dead at Maripur Road, Hawksbay. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi.
One more firing incident occurred at Khamosh Colony where Faisal, 28, son of Ahtesham, a resident of Liquatabad C Area sustained bullet injuries and was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Separately, two more people died in traffic accidents. Junaid ur Rehman, 25, son of Muhammad Hussain, resident of Shah Faisal Colony, died in a road traffic accident in Baloch Colony area. The body was shifted to JPMC hospital.
In another road incident, Tahir, son of Noor Uddin, aged 45, died when a vehicle hit him. He was taken to Jinnah Hospital.
Meanwhile, Aashiq, 30, son of Ghulam was found dead at his home in Dawood Goth, Baldia Town, and was taken to Civil Hospital for an autopsy where doctors confirmed his death by poisoning.
