Independence celebrations will continue in the month of August under Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) leadership to highlight ideology of Pakistan, said Advisor to Chief Minister on Health Khawaja Salman Rafiq while talking to journalists on the occasion of inaugurating Jashn-e-Azadi camp at Model Town on Wednesday.
Besides local office-bearers of the PML-N, women and youth were present in large numbers. National flags were hoisted on the occasion. Rafiq distributed national flags and badges among the people travelling by cars and motorcyclists passing on the road. He said that national flags and badges would continue to be distributed to create national spirit among the people.
Replying to a question, Rafiq said that the entire nation was standing with the Pakistan Army which was fighting against terrorists but some elements were using tactics to create chaos among the nation.
He said it is the need of the hour that maximum solidarity should be created among the nation at this critical juncture of the history so that the entire nation could eliminate terrorists.
He said that those opposing the PML-N government were, in fact, against the development and prosperity of the country. He said that the journey of development and prosperity could not be stopped through long march and sit-ins.
