Building up the momentum of the anti-government campaign, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan on Thursday vowed to put an end ‘monarchy’ and ‘replace it will real democracy’ on August 14.

“We are left with no other option but to come out on roads till we get justice, ” said the PTI chief while Speaking at the inauguration of micro-hydel power station in Matta, Swat.

“Current rulers are kings. They are businessmen, prospering themselves whereas masses are dying of poverty and starvation,” he said, questioning why Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif started a metro bus project in Lahore instead of working in the health and education sector.

Khan questioned that why Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif opted for electricity production at Rs14 per unit in Punjab when cheaper electricity at Rs8 per unit could have been obtained from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

He alleged that the PM made the choices for his own financial gains.

He announced that 386 new hydel-power projects will be started throughout the province in the next 18 months andhis party government would also refurbish hospitals, schools in KPK and bring investment in the province
