Electricity shortfall reaches 4,800 MW

ISLAMABAD – Electricity shortfall across the country has reached 4,800 MW on Wednesday, a private news channel reported.

As per details, power generation was recorded at 14,800 MW while demand remained 19,600 MW.

Load shedding is being carried out in Rawalpindi and Islamabad after every hour while other cities are facing 14 to 16 hours of power cuts.

People in rural areas are suffering 16 to 18 hours of load shedding amid warm and muggy weather.

On the other hand, there is no electricity for the last fifty hours in Mohalla Qureshi Abad near Rawalpindi’s Girja Road.

Locals reported that power supply was suspended on Monday following a fault in transformer however electricity has not been restored yet.

Residents have complained that concerned authorities are not present in their offices.

Continuous power outage has also caused water shortage in the area.

  2. electricity short fall is a thrilling issue now a day govt should take immediate step to increase the power resources.
