Awami Muslim League (AML) Chairman Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said that government’s mandate was “fake”.
Talking to journalists outside Parliament House, he said that long march on August 14 will prove to be a “last nail in the coffin of leaders” and will conclude with midterm elections. Long march will be held in all conditions no one could stop it, he said adding that army will not fire a bullet on workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
Rasheed said that PTI was on roads against rigging from last one year but the government did not take PTI seriously, after which PTI was forced to stage long march. He said long march will take place in its traditional peaceful form in which workers of Awami Tehreek will also participate. He said nation will acquire independence from mandate stealers on August 14 and Army will not conduct any violent operation against the workers of PTI.
