School principal killed in firing

A school principal was killed Monday in a firing incident in Karachi’s Baldia Town. Haji Ishaq, the principal of a Christian school, was on his way to school when he was targeted in Baldia Town’s Sector 4/D.

Meanwhile, two persons were gunned down while two others were injured in different firing incidents.

Faqeer Mohammad, 38, son of Khan Mohammad, resident of Landhi, was gunned down by unknown persons in New Muzafarabad, Street No 4. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for autopsy.

In another firing incident, an unknown person, 20, was gunned down by unknown snipers near Mewa Shah Road, Lyari River. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. In yet another incident, Shahzeb, 25, son of Farooque and Naeem, 30, son of Faheem, both residents of Baldia were injured in firing by unknown persons near Baldia Jungle School. Both were shifted to a Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal formalities.

In another incident, Ghazanfar, 30, son of Fateh, resident of New Karachi was injured in firing of unknown persons near Shafeeque Mor, Afroz Textile, New Karachi. He was shifted to ASH.

Two die in various incidents

Two people died in separate mishaps on Monday.

As per details, one Ismail, son of Ayub, died after a snake bit him at Baghan, some 60 miles from here. He was rushed to the basic health unit where he died as anti-venom injection was not available.

Separately, seven years old Qamaruddin, son of Sharif Burfat, of Village Dadori died when a sweet beetle nut went into his windpipe as he was Gutika. He as rushed to the civil hospital where he died.
