The High Court Bar Association (HCBA) has denounced the “criminal silence” maintained by the world over the killing of Palestinians in Gaza by Israel.

The lawyers’ body, in a statement issued in Srinagar, said, “Despite the massacre of more than 1,800 innocent Palestinians including women and children, the heads of 56 Muslim countries have not even met once to discuss the issue and evolve a strategy to counter the Israeli offensive and aggression,” KMS reported.

“The bar association feels that these heads of Islamic states fear Israel and America so much so that they do not even dare to recall their ambassadors from Israel or close Israel’s embassies in their countries as a mark of protest,” it said.

The statement also condemned the attack on detainees in Kupwara jail by certain government- sponsored criminals.
